Renovacion // Updating

Wao .. hace demasiado tiempo que no me metia a mi blogger .. tantas cosas han pasado .. ya llevo 5 años en Estados Unidos, ya tengo mi primera VISA de trabajo - solo la OPT , pero igual wena - he pasado por un monton de cosas .. desde rendirme y querer devolverme a Chile, hasta quedar sin tener donde vivir. Lo que son las cosas de la vida loko !!!
Contare toda la historia:
Para obtener mi licencia para ser profesora en Massachusetts tuve que dar unos examenes que se llaman MTEL - Massachusetts Tests for the Educator Licensure. Examenes demasiados desafiantes !! El mas facil es Communication & Literacy , este consta de 2 examenes : Writing & Reading. Fue el primero que pase !! Que orgullo !! Luego tuve que dar General Curriculum , consta de todo el curriculum de Elementary School (1ro a 8vo) .. que examen mas terrible !! Lo di casi 3 veces , hasta que hable con la directora de la escuela de educacion de mi universidad y me dijo que podia dar otro : Subject Matter .. asi que di el Español :) Obviamente lo pase !! duh !! Me hubiera pasado si no lo pasaba !! jajajaja !! El 3ro y ultimo es : Foundations of Reading .. un examen de temer !! yo le puse "The Evil Test" OMG !! que me costo pasarlo !! lo di 5 veces !!! al fin lo pase !! que orgullo mas grande !!! Casi me pongo a llorar , de hecho me puse a llorar je je Asi que por fin podre hacer mi practica, aplicar para mi licencia y encontrar un trabajo :) Dios quiera que todo salga bien !!

Whoa .. it's been forever since I signed in my blogger .. loads of things have happened .. I've been in the US for 5 years now , I already have my very 1st work permit - the OPT - loads of things have happened .. since almost quitting and wanting to go back to Chile to being homeless. This is life , right ?
I'll tell part of the story:
In order to obtain mi license to teach in Massachusetts I had to take a bunch of tests called MTEL - Massachusetts Tests for the Educator Licensure - challenging tests man !! The easiest one is Communication & Literacy which involves 2 subtests : Reading & Writing. It was the 1st I passed !! So proud !! Then I had to take General Curriculum which involves the curriculum for Elementary school (1st to 8th grades) what a terrible test !! I took it about 3 times until I talked to my advisor and she said that I could take a subject matter test so I took Spanish :) Obviously I passed !! It would have been pretty embarrassing if I didn't !! LoL The 3rd and last test was Foundations of Reading .. a test to be afraid of !! I named it "The Evil Test" OMG !! it was so hard !! I took it 5 times until I finally passed !! so proud !! I almost cried , actually , I did cry !! So I finally will be able to do my Practicum, apply to my license & find a job :) God helps !!

Thanksgiving / Dia de Accion de Gracias

Cuento la historia: Los Pilgrims y la tribu de Wampanoag lo pasaron muy en la fiesta de Dia de Accion de Gracias en 1961. Los Pilgrims estaban tan agradecidos por el cultivo de ese año y de los Wampanoag por enseñarles a cultivar choclo. Su celebracion del Dia de Accion de Gracias fue una gran fiesta de tres dias. Comieron diferentes tipos de comida en su fiesta de Dia de Accion de Gracias. Algunas de las cosas que comieron fueron venado, pavo, pescado, zapallo, choclo y otros vegetales. Los Pilgrims y los Wampanoag jugaron, leyeron historias, fueron a la iglesia y comieron por tres dias.
La celebracion moderna del Dia de Accion de Gracias en Estados Unidos es en memoria de ese dia. Usualmente es por solo un dia, en vez de tres! En el Dia de Accion de Gracias usualmente se pasa tiempo con las familias y amigos. Es un tiempo cuando la gente esta agradecida por todas las bendiciones que recibimos.


The Pilgrims and the Wampanoag tribe had a fun time at their Thanksgiving party in 1961. The Pilgrims were so thanksful for their harvest that year and to the Wampanoag for teaching them to grow crops. Their Thanksgiving celebration was a big three-day party. They ate many different kinds of foods at their Thansgiving party. Some of the things they ate were deer, turkey, fish, squash, corn, and other vegetables. The Pilgrims and Wampanoag playes games, read stories, went to church, and ate for three days.
The Modern Thanksgiving celebration in the United States is in memory of that day. It is usually only for one day, instead of three! On Thanskgiving, we usually spend time with our families and friends. It is time when people are thankful for the many blessings we have.

NoStALGiA

La navidad se acerca y me esta dando toda la nostalgia... va a ser mi tercera fukin navidad sin mi falimia... por lo menos voy a estar cerca de alguien a quien quiero mucho y me quiere tambien y con su familia, que es lo mas cercano a familia que tengo en Estados Unidos.
La foto es de cuando tenia, creo, como un año, estoy en Rancagua en el patio de la casona de mis abuelos paternos. Era bella.... que me paso?


Christmas is coming and I'm getting all homesick... it's going to be my third fuckin' Christmas without my family... at least, I'm going to be close to someone who I love and who loves me back and his family, that it's the closest to a family I have here in America.
The picture is from when I was, I believe, about one year-old, I'm in Rancagua in my dad's side grandparents. I was pretty... what happened?

Wenop, esta es la foto que hablaba en el posteo anterior. Por orden, Felicia, Coche y yo. Nos acababamos de hacer un peinado en un salon muy top que jamas seria capaz de pagar. Me deberia haber sacado foto de mi peinado por todos los angulos porque era muy genial, bello! je je....

Yap, eso no mas tengo para contar, ojala que visiten mi blog y que me dejen sus saluditos. Los quiero mucho, muchito a todos!! Echo demasiado de menos a mi falimia! y a mi perrito! que el pobre mas lo que lo retan, el pobre se enferma del estogamo y lo retan :(

Okay, so, this is the pic I was talking about in the previous post. In order, Felicia, Coche and I. We had just gotten our hair done in a very nice salon that I could never afford. I should have gotten my pics taken from all the angles cuz it was real cool, pretty!

Wedding in Wichita, Kansas

Se casó la tía Nany!!! con un americano que se llama Gil Wohler. Se casaron el sabado 22 de septiembre a las 2 de la tarde. Estuvo entretenido. Pude ver a mi familia que no habia visto en millones de años. Estuve muy contenta y la tía se veia muy contenta y muy ilusionada.
Dios quiera que pueda ver a mi familia otra vez.... porque pucha que me gusto verlos!!!

ENG.: My aunt Nany got married!!! with an American named Gil Wohler. They got married on Saturday September the 22nd at 2 o'clock. It was fun. I could get to see my family who I hadn't seen for millions of years. I was so happy and my aunt seemed very happy too and very illusioned. Want God I can see my family again... 'coz how good it was to see them!!!

Hola!!!!! Aqui toy de nuevo. Hacia tiempo que no subia otra fotito, pero nadie me posteo en la otra!!! :( Pero wenop.... en esta foto, estoy en un "pueblo" que se llama Rockport, hay playa y todo, pero no es para bañarse, porque es pura roca. Con roca o sin roca, no me baño igual, porque pucha que es helada el agua del "Oceano Atlantico"!! jejejeje....

Although, with or without rocks, I don't swim, 'cause the "Atlantic Ocean" is soooo freagin' cold!! he he he....

"Nuevecito de paquete!!!"

Me cambiaron el auto!!! antes tenia un Hyundai Elantra - cafe - 2001 y ahora tengo un Hyundai Elantra - azul - 2007. Es precioso!!! o no? el otro estaba medio chatarrita ya, aunque no era tan viejo. Las otras au pairs lo chocaron y requete-chocaron, ja ja ja.... menos yo... jio jio... lo único que le hice fue un pequeño rasguñon al frente y quebré el espejo del lado izquierdo.... ojala fuera mio, eso si... pero algún dia tendré un auto asi!!!!! siiiii!!!!!!!!!!

They got me another car!!! I had a Hyundai Elantra - brown - 2001 before and now, I have a Hyundai Elantra - blue - 2007. Isn't it beautiful? the other one wasn't very well, although it wasn't that old. The other au pairs crashed it and re-crashed it.... except me... the only things I did was a very small scratch on the front and I broke the left mirror.... I wish it was mine, though.... but, someday I will!!!!! yah!!!!
